In India “a dish is never complete by itself”. Curry is only the centerpiece of a more complete meal that includes appetizing starters, fresh breads, basmati rice, tasty chutneys and rejuvenating drinks .

Stuffed Naans and Parathas make excellent appetizers. Naan is made fresh to order in a traditional clay oven and Paratha is a whole-wheat layered flat bread. For starters, try stuffed Naan with your choice of onions, garlic, minced meat or nuts and raisins. The stuffed Paratha comes with your choice of potatoes, lentil or minced meat. As an alternative to flour, you can order Papadam (sun-dried lentil crackers) fried or baked. While ordering bread as an appetizer, always order Chutney (cilantro, mango, tamarind) or Raita (yogurt sauce) for dipping.
Whether or not bread is ordered as an appetizer, it is absolutely essential to order bread with curry. We offer plain Naan, Garlic Naan for meats and spinach curries (especially Chicken Tikka Masala and Palak Paneer) or Kabul Naan (nuts and raisins) and Onion Kulcha (onion Naan) for Byrianis. For those who prefer whole wheat flour instead of white flour, we serve Tandoori Roti or Chapati (tortilla-like bread) for curry dishes and Paratha (layered bread) for sautéed dishes (i.e. Bengan Bharta, Okra).
